Given our partner focus, we track trends. Twice a year we produce our Headline Partner Moves in London report which provides insights and commentary.

The report is well-received in the law firm senior market and regularly featured in the legal press.

The most recent report, looking back over 2024, highlighted key statistics and trends including:

566 moves tracked, compared against a six-year average of 479. This was an 11% increase from the 510 moves we tracked in 2023.

The percentage of female moves rose from 30% to 32.5%, although this was still short of 2022’s high of 33.3%.

The most active practice areas within the Top 25 firms* were: Finance, TMT/Data Privacy/Commercial, Corporate and Funds.

*Based on The Lawyer’s City 50 which focuses on ‘London-only’ revenue generated by the leading US and UK firms during their most recent financial year.
